There are no significant changes made in regards to the exterior designs as compared to iPhone 6. Though they have been conservative in the exterior design for three years, there is a controversial change you may encounter that may not be appealing. The omission of the headphone jack on both the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 plus.

The audio port and the charging port have been bundled together which means that you won’t be able to hook up your headphones and listen to music while charging the phone. But don’t worry! Apple has a solution to this problem, as they are launching a new wireless headset in the upcoming months.

For the first time, you will get dual speakers with the new iPhone 7 models which are located at the top and the bottom, while the mic is situated next to the bottom speaker.

  1. I think I would go for the iphone 7, not the iphone 7 plus just because of the size. I prefer smaller sized phones, as they feel more stronger. I also use my phone as a gps when I’m cycle touring, so the smaller size sits better on my mount. With that being said, my Mum prefers to larger size, as it’s easier to read the screen. I also met a guy that is partial blind, so the larger phone is perfect for him.

  2. As with the new technology Apple is always coming out with, if we do get the newest IPhone, it will be in a few months. After they’ve worked out any glitches and to see actual customer reviews. But like Kelly, I prefer the smaller phones.

  3. I’m looking forward to getting my IPhone 7. Haven’t yet seen any personal reviews, but as I never upgraded to the 6, I’ll be going from 5 to 7. So, it will be quite a change. And I’m looking forward to the wireless speakers/mic. I’ll be back in town tomorrow, so I’ll head to the Apple store on Monday.

  4. I was very happy when i saw this post on key features of iphone7 and iphone7 plus. The author did a great job in sharing such an informative and fun article. I have searched for this on many blogs and read so many articles trying to get the key features of iphone7 and iphone7 plus video but this blog has been the most informative so far. Thanks for the instructions.

  5. I understand that wireless headsets are the future but I feel that Apple should have also included the headphone jack for both iPhone 7 and the Plus model. It would have been so much better to do this because we still aren’t in a position where everyone has a pair of wireless headset lying around. Glad to see them thinking ahead but they need to stay grounded in reality and not make things hard for their clients. I was disappointed to hear about this because it’s an extra hassle you have to deal with. Thanks for the review and sorry for the vent :)!

  6. I’m mildly annoyed by the change of headphone jack. Definitely just a way for apple products to be more exclusive and therefore make more money. If stock headphones break you can’t buy some cheap-os from the store you have to shell out the overpriced amount for Apple brand headphones. Don’t get me wrong, I love Apple, I”m a die hard Mac fan but the iPhones seem to lag just a little behind the Samsung line. Good thing they have a loyal following.

  7. Thanks so much for this post! I have been contemplating whether or not I should get the iPhone 7 or the galaxy 7 note. There are so many features about the iPhone 7 that I love. The slimness and the storage and the standby time are amazing. I haven’t had an iPhone since the 5, but after reading these features I think I’m ready to purchase the iPhone 7. Thanks so much, very helpful!
